Under Armour's lightest and most stable trail shoe, engineered for runners with medium, flexible arches and mild overpronation.Under Armour Tactical Mirage Shoe Review by Rob Pincus Rob Pincus here for SWAT Magazine and CopsPlus, and today I'm trying out the Under Armour Mirage tactical shoe. It's a lightweight shoe designed for running originally, but found to be very durable also. Now, obviously I'm just putting these on for the first time. I literally just took them out of the box, but it's supposed to weigh 12.6 ounces. They feel comfortable. They're actually pretty lightweight, and they feel like they have a lot of traction. There's a lot of going on down here on the bottom of the shoe, but up here, they're lightweight and really comfortable. There's kind of an inner sock thing that kind of hugs the foot, and that's kind of cool, so it feels comfortable. It feels like it's going to be a good shoe. It's going to be hard to tell just sitting here on the bumper of my truck, though. I say we run around the Firearms Academy in Seattle and try them out. Well, that was a pretty good first hour or so with the Under Armour Mirage tactical shoe. I'm going to wear them throughout the summer, and I'll be back to tell you more about how they held up and how they performed in a variety of circumstances as I try them out for SWAT Magazine and CopsPlus. I'm here at my gym today to talk about the results of the last three months of wearing the Under Armour Mirage footwear. I'll tell you, I really like it. The fact is, they're really durable, they're pretty lightweight, and they're very comfortable. They've been from one end of the country to another. We started out in the Pacific Northwest, the Firearms Academy in Seattle. We took them all the way to the boardwalk on Atlantic City. Along the way, we did a lot of cross-fitting. We did inside, outside work. We did a lot of range work. We did a lot of training myself, and a lot of just standing around on the range all day teaching and talking to other people. I also did some classroom work, standing on different hard surfaces, including some concrete indoor ranges, and found these to really be durable and comfortable. There's really not much more I can say about them. Clearly they're not quite as clean as they were when we started. That's okay, that's to be expected. We've been through some mud. We've been through a whole bunch of rain. In fact, we were on a very rainy range over in Pennsylvania just a couple of days ago as I finished up this first three months wearing these Under Armour Mirage shoes. The fact is, I'm going to keep wearing them, and the next time that you're actually looking for a shoe that's going to be durable, help you be stable in a variety of different environments, be lightweight, and last for a long time, I do suggest that you check out the Under Armour Mirage shoes from CopsPlus. | |||||||||||
