C88YL) showcases a specially forged blade that is designed to never rust, making it ideal for wet conditions such as hunting, boating and fishing. Based on the popular Delica model's size and shape, the Salt I has been revamped with a thicker, rounded tip for extra durability and cutting action suited to seamen. The blade is made of H1 precipitation-processed alloy steel that resists corrosion and can hold its edge as long as other premium steels. The handle is constructed using FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) with dual-sided volcanic grip textures to help prevent slippage. Spyderco's signature round hole has an increased diameter allowing for convenient blade deployment even with gloved hands. The locking lever features a David Boye dent to prevent accidental release. All steel components--pins, lock bar and clip--have been treated to prevent rust as well.
