Due to popular demands, Spyderco is now releasing the Matriarch 2. The Spyderco Matriarch 2 folding knife features some of the same design elements as the Civilian but is more affordable. This model has a SpyderEdge serration and is constructed from VG-10 steel. It has a reverse edge and is made of their popular lightweight fiber reinforced nylon handle. Its high performance steel provides excellent cutting ability. The Matriarch 2 has the signature Spyderco's thumb hole opening for quick deployment and carry ability. The clip can be carried up or down on either side allowing ambidextrous operation.
