The Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara2 is made of 8Cr13Mov black coated blade steel and is a full flat ground which enhances the edge geometry and cutting performance. At just 3.4 ounces, the handle is made of fiberglass reinforced nylon which provides a solid comfortable grip but not add additional weight to it.
For a more secure grip, the Cara Cara2 features jimping and finger choil to keep your fingers from slipping allowing precise control of the knife. The lockback mechnism is dented to prevent accidentally closing of the knife when gripping tightly. This folding knife has the Byrd's "comet" shape thumb hole opening which symbolizes quality and allows one handed operation.
