Inspiration for the Armadillo came from a long time Scopecoat user who was on a big game hunt traversing a snow covered mountain. One misstep on the slick, rocky surface and down he went with his rifle. The Scopecoat he was using protected his optic but unfortunately snow got into the action and froze ultimately costing him a shot of a lifetime. He now takes his Armadillo on every hunt and never misses a good shot again.
