It's well made, have an excellent grip, and to my opinion the 22" is the ideal length.

It is a bit stiff to close, but I'm hoping it gets better with use.

I've used this baton before. It's nice and has a good weight to it. Opens up easy and closes very easy also.

Great quality, heavy duty and easy to deploy. Love the weighted tip. Effortlessly smashed several late model car windows at local junk yard with a quick, firm snap of the baton. I would've given it five stars, but I thought the price was just too high.

Being a non-LEO law abiding veteran & lifetime member of the NRA, I found it odd that many outfits I called would not sell me an expandable baton. Then I contacted CopsPlus and evidently I'm the "Plus" because they honored my rights to purchase this outstanding self defense compliance tool. I'll use it to compliment my self defense strategies and have another LTL option. Pros reside at CopsPlus.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with this product at first. Having based my decision to purchase it strictly on YouTube video reviews, I was surprised at how difficult it was to open and close this baton. When opening, there was very little gravity assistance as advertised, and it required a vigorous effort to fully extend. Closing was also a bit of a problem, as it tended to stick halfway back into the handle. After opening it about twenty times, however, it does tend to loosen up, but not quite as advertised. At first, opening it required the force normally used to chop firewood. Now it requires a good tennis backhand, but clearly not a simple flick of the wrist. And while closing it required using the floor the first few times, I can now close it against my chest or rib-cage. Keep in mind, I bench press 225, so I would not recommend this product to someone who is not physically fit. All in all, it still seems to be a formidable weapon, which is why I give it a Neutral rating.
what is the difference between black chrome vs nickel finish and foam vs super grip?Black chrome is a black shiny finish vs a slightly duller silver finish. Foam is just a sponge foam on the handle vs a patterned rubber grip.
