Law enforcement officers on duty can expect to encounter a wide variety of situations. Within the space of a single shift, an officer could be asked to give directions to lost tourists, serve a search warrant and face down violent criminals. Modern duty gear provides convenient portability for an officer's on-duty equipment, including handcuffs, radios and pagers, flashlights and spare magazines. An officer's loadout can weigh around 20 pounds once complete. Typically, duty gear is designed to attach to a standard duty belt for waist-level accessibility, allowing the officer to present relevant equipment rapidly in case of an emergency.
Our selection of duty gear includes carrying systems for a wide range of equipment, including holders for batons and chemical sprays, flashlightholsters, glove pouches, handcuff and key holders, magazine pouches, radio and pager holsters and accessories, speedloaders and badge wallets. Multiple and combined carriers are also available, making it more convenient to carry several different types of equipment on the belt. The section also contains K9 gear for crime-fighting canines. We carry duty gear from the most trusted law enforcement equipment manufacturers, including Safariland, Bianchi, Boston Leather, Gould & Goodrich and more.
Traditionally, duty equipment has been made from sturdy leather, and a lot of manufacturers still produce high-quality leather pouches and holsters for your duty equipment. Nylon, injection-molded polymers and other synthetics are also popular thanks to their light weight and wear resistance, with manufacturers adopting advanced materials like Bianchi's AccuMold and Safariland's SafariLaminate. Pouches may be left open-topped for quick access, or secured using flaps secured with snaps or hook and loop fastenings. They typically attach to the belt using snap-secured straps for convenience, or fixed loops for total security.
