The buckle supplied with the belt leaves a lot to be desired, unless it's the look you have to have for your uniform: because it is so narrow (and the belt so thick), the belt bulges excessively in the middle of the buckle it does not sit flat against the belt (cocks inward on my right side) it's extremely thin (the edges wouldn't take much to turn into knives) and, it's not easy to buckle the belt into (due to it's narrowness and the belt's thickness). I replaced the supplied buckle with a D-shaped buckle that does the job perfectly. I purchased this width to get a firm fit through my bluejeans' belt loops and it's perfect with my Wranglers. Just be aware that it's a tight fit getting the end of the belt through the left-front belt loop, if you tuck it in like I do (a full one inch thick with three layers of belt, return end of belt clasp with snaps, and the end of the belt). 5 out of 5 stars Written by: Lawerance November 07, 2016 Made in the USA, thick and tuff. Since most cop gear is either slotted for a 2.25in duty belt or a 1.75in trouser belt, this belt will give you the most solid platform for drawing or holstering your gear. If you have 1.75in slotted gear, you will notice a huge difference in this belt versus a narrower belt. Your weapon draw will be much more efficient. This belt is also made of a high quality, rigid leather that breaks in a little over time, but still maintains a good, solid, gun belt platform.
