The Blackhawk Shemaugh is based on the square scarves worn throughout the Middle East for hundreds of years, and adopted by United States and Coalition soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan for its ability to protect the wearer's face and head against the wind, sand and sun. It is made from pure, soft cotton in muted olive or coyote, large enough to cover the entire head easily, and comes with an intricate pattern and a traditional fringed edge. Like an oversized bandana, it can also be used for a wide variety of utility tasks if needed.
