I bought this Nylon belt as a replacement for my old leathers. It was getting to the point where I was having chronic and recurring back pain because of the heavy leather belt and the gear digging into my back. I can definitely say this belt (along with the nylon attachments I bought for it) weighs less and is more malleable. So I haven't had any of the issues I used to with my gear hurting me after a while.
