What can I say? It's an expandable ASP, it expands. Only ASP I have owned so nothing to really compare it to. It is a lot lighter than I thought it would be. The grip is comfortable in my hand.

Better than my issued one. Issued has the foam grip this rubber grip helps keep it in your hand in adverse conditions.

It was great for the first 4 times the baton got extended. After that it would not retract all the way. Solid build, terrible collapse.

As described larger and heavier to carry compared with smaller designs. A bit tricky to close you need a hard surface that you don't mind being damaged. (That is, do not try to close it on a table or woodtile flooring or concrete patio, becasue it will dent all of those).

For instructions how to close the baton. Google how to close ASP baton. I tried putting my full weight on it and it wouldn't close. There is a YouTube video how to close it. Basically, slam it down straight so as not to bend the baton. It is simple once you know how. Not sideways or at an angle. The baton will close halfway. Then try it again and the baton will close completely. You need a strong surface or you will go through the floor. The video demonstrates on pavement covered by a shirt so you get less scratches on the round tip.

Baton seems very well built... BUT, is VERY difficult to close. Design would be much better if there was a 'release' button included.

Really happy with the ASP, it rattles a little (my 21" didn't do that) but it's not hard to fix if that annoys you. very strong and not that heavy. would buy again.
