6055 6055 Emerson CQC-4KXL Plain Edge Folding KnifeThe 6055 Emerson CQC-4KXL Plain Edge Folding Knife is designed by Emerson and built by Kershaw as an all-around, sturdy folder with some quality features. The blade is nearly 4-inches in length and is constructed from 8Cr14MoV steel with both a stonewashed and satin finish for added resilience. The handle is crafted from a combination of G10, a glass-based epoxy resin laminate, on the front and steel at the rear. Emerson contributes their patented "Wave-shaped Opening" feature, a tab located at the tip of the blade that is designed to catch on the user's pocket and rapidly deploy the blade as it is pulled out of the pocket. Military, law enforcement and first responders find this unique, quick-open design particularly useful in emergency situations. Alternatively, Kershaw's knife can be manually opened employing its built-in thumb disk. A frame lock keeps the blade open and secure while in use, but easily releases to close the knife for safe storage or tansport.
