Live scan systems and devices save considerable time and provide consistency in producing multiple copies of fingerprint cards. They are easily adapted to access control, payment systems, computer security, and prisoner controls. However, for a variety of reasons, some people have skin conditions that make it difficult to get clear prints. To correct this problem, PreScan, a proprietary formula, has been developed with positive results reported by livescan manufacturers and users alike. PreScan, is dispensed through a ceramic finger pad, which dramatically increases ridge-line detail when the fingers are rolled or touched, first on the pad and then onto the platen. Available in two sizes for single finger and large live-scan platens.
