Jim Hammond's Cruiser series of customs seemed like an ideal starting point in our development of a high quality affordable lockback work folder. As the first custom knifemaker and Knifemakers' Guild member to work with Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT), he understood the translation necessary to arrive at our successful production Cascade Lockback.
The blade is a Hammond modified clip point shape, hollow ground from 420J2 stainless steel with a bead blast finish, and available with a Combination Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edge.
For maximum comfort, we used our Twin-Fused™ handle technology using a rigid, injection molded high-impact polycarbonate frame with a soft, comfortable diamond patterned injection molded Kraton® grip for a firm, safe hold. This build, combined with the rounded handle cross section, deep finger choil with guard, pronounced butt pommel and blade thumb ramp with friction grooves, results in one of the most secure and comfortable grips in any folder, at any price.
